Rancho Brillando was created in 2001 by the Levy family—Ron Levy, Lisa Shepherd, and our children Chris and Lauren.  It is named in honor of our first quarter horse, Skippa Glitter.  Located on 10 acres of hillside in the Conejo Valley northwest of Los Angeles, the ranch is home to Mountain High Quarter Horses, where Ashley Dunbar and Justin Wheeler train our horses and others to be champions.

In 2007, Ashley rode two Rancho Brillando horses to back-to-back AQHA World Championships in Junior and Senior Trail.  RL Tune Up (“Ralph”) was our Senior Trail champion, and he is one in a million.  (see the story here:  2007 World Championship).  He continues to show with Ashley in open events and our daughter Lauren in youth events.

In 2010 you will see us showing not only Ralph, but also Too Blue To Be True and Sega Luck in senior, youth and select classes.  We also have several junior horses in training and for sale; watch for them on the show circuit as the year progresses.

We look forward to seeing you at the shows this year.  And if you are in our neighborhood, stop by to see us.
